Fire Prevention Administration
1.  Process applications for building plans submitted to the Fire Service for approval.
Documents to be submitted for approval of Building plans are three (3) copies each of the Town and Country approved drawings which should include:
Floor plan
Site and location
Elevations
Sections
Fire Protection drawings (optional)

Note: Applications take approximately three (3) weeks to process.
 
2.
Provide Reports on Fire/ Other Incidents to various Agencies.
A fee of 0.05% of the value of the building is charged to the agencies (Under the Provision of Collection of taxes act 1993).
   
3. Prepare Fire victim Letters for persons whose home/property was destroyed by fire.

Note: Only application on fires that occur more than six (6) months are to be submitted to this section. Contact the respective Fire Prevention Operations if less than six (6) months.
 
4. Buildings requiring inspection for the purpose of granting approval.
New buildings
Existing buildings that has never been certified
Existing buildings with new additions/ Alterations
Buildings that requesting change of use.

A fee of $200.00 is charged for inspection (under the collection of taxes 1993)
